Sony α7R VI — Resolution, Accelerated

The Sony α7R VI (ILCE-7RM6) is a high-resolution full-frame mirrorless camera designed for photographers and creators who need exceptional detail, fast readout and advanced subject recognition.

At its core is a 66.8-megapixel fully stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor, paired with Sony's BIONZ XR2 image-processing engine and integrated AI processing unit. This combination enables high-resolution image capture together with fast processing, advanced autofocus and blackout-free continuous shooting.

The α7R VI can capture full-resolution images at up to 30 fps with AF/AE tracking using the electronic shutter, while its 759-point phase-detection AF system covers approximately 94% of the image area. Subject recognition supports humans, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and aircraft.

For video, the camera supports 8K recording as well as 4K 60p without cropping and 4K 120p, with 10-bit 4:2:2 recording options.

Sony specifies up to 16 stops of dynamic range at low sensitivities, supporting detailed highlight and shadow information in demanding scenes.
