The second-generation optical design significantly reduces the size and weight compared with its predecessor while maintaining outstanding resolving power. Its 17-element, 13-group construction incorporates SLD and aspherical elements to control chromatic aberration and sagittal coma flare. Fast autofocus, suppressed focus breathing and professional controls make it an excellent choice for portraits, weddings, street photography, documentary work and video production.
